Stacy LaPointe, LPC-S

Wait List for New Clients - Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Optum, Oscar, UHC

Stacy is a licensed professional counselor supervisor who uses an integrative and individualized approach to therapy that is relationally focused and attachment informed. Utilizing therapies such as EMDR, PACT, and psychodrama, Stacy brings her humor, curiosity, playful spirit, and deep passion for the work into the therapy room. Stacy believes that when unresolved issues are writing our life story, we are not our own autobiographers.  Instead, we are merely recorders of how the past continues, often without our awareness, intruding upon our present experience and shaping our future directions. The influences of our personal, historical and cultural narratives continue to affect us in countless unconscious ways which can leave us entrenched in our pain, emotionally isolated and depleting our resources. Therefore, Stacy invites you to consider how your early life experiences, and past relationships may be influencing current relational patterns and life satisfaction.

Stacy enjoys working with adults and couples 18 years and older. She loves working with a variety of issues and concerns, including ADHD, grief/loss, anxiety, chronic illness, depression, life transitions, conflicts in intimacy, trauma/PTSD, shame, LGTBQIA+, and pregnancy/prenatal/postpartum. Stacy has a deep appreciation in the effectiveness of interdisciplinary collaboration and the relevance of forming meaningful partnerships to build a coordinated network of resources, services and supports for clients She is committed to practice as an anti-racist, gender and sexuality-affirming, feminist clinician and welcomes all individuals irrespective of their background.

In Stacy’s spare time, she loves hanging out with her spouse, teen daughter, friends and their two fur babies (the latter you may see/hear during virtual sessions). She also enjoys gardening, attending musicals, nerding out with anything related to brain research, running, and taking voice lessons.
